I have no idea what the formal criteria are; I know what the people i love tell me about their experience and their inner lives. I can't answer this question.

That's normal when things that were actively repressed stop being actively repressed. We saw it with homosexuality and left handedness too.
Turns out when you don't punish people for being themselves and scare them into hiding, the apparent percentage rises.

But this sort of messaging and rhetoric is why trump controls all three branches of government and we are shut out.
