A little help from me at the #JoelKallmanDay for everyone who ever struggled with adding an avatar image in their Oracle APEX apps.

Unfortunately, implementing such feature is not so straightforward, but here we go, see tutorial below 👇

⚠️ Remember to fix your APEX applications Social Sign-in settings!

The free APEX evaluation service is now moved to oracleapex.com. Which means that all of your applications, using Social Sign-in with Google, Office365, OKTA, etc. will fail unless you change the redirect URL in your SSO provider.

I recently needed a quick (and reusable) way of setting up OCI Object Storage Buckets and access to them for a personal project.

Read my blog post to see how I scripted all the steps using the OCI CLI, using some help from AI and Jon Dixon's original tutorial ✨

Just had to migrate some of my connections from SQL Developer to VS Code (SQL Developer extension). Very easy and straightforward:

🔸 Right-click the top-level Oracle Connections node in SQL Developer’s Connections panel.
🔸 Select Export Connections and choose the connections to migrate ...

Okay, this is cool:

project config -list -verbose

Gives you description of all setting, available in the project.config.json file 💡
Hi Patrizia, firstly, thanks for reporting the issues you found in the SQLcl Forum.

Have you tried running:
project config -list -verbose

Perhaps there'll be an equivalent in the doc some day, but that command is your best bet for now.

Having fun with SQLcl - few observations:

🔸 For some reason I had a package that was exported using .pkb and .pks for the body and spec. After I upgraded to the latest version, I now have the package duplicated in my repository, because both files are exported with .sql extension.

Yes, updating the SQLcl version on my macbook is THAT simple:
🔸 Download the latest version archive
🔸 Extract to a folder (like sqlcl_new)
🔸 Rename your existing sqlcl folder (like sqlcl_old)
🔸 Rename sqlcl_new folder to sqlcl
🔸 Restart any open Terminal
🔸 plamen$ sql -v
🔸 SQLcl: Release 24.4.1.0 🎉
