Here is my present furry family member, Poppy. A kitty who was abandoned by some pretty terrible people who got evicted from our apartment complex.

She walked in Oct 02 24 when my spouse opened the door for a Meals on Wheels delivery.

The Universe cat distribution service worked on us again 😻

Join the strike on Thursday 21st August We call for the global strike for Gaza to take place every Thursday, starting on Thursday 21st August. A one-off "strike day" can make a political point, but sustained repetition — weekly or monthly — creates measurable patterns in economic data. We are not seeking empty symbolism. We are seeking visible, measurable economic signals that show the world we are striking for Gaza. In order for this to happen, we need EVERYONE to spread the word. In most western countries, household consumption makes up 60-70% of GDP. This means that where and when people spend money directly shapes the strength of the economy. By withdrawing our spending together, even for a single day, we create a disruption that is both visible and measurable: Retail & Transactions: A one-day coordinated pause in purchases-if millions take part-will immediately show up in retail sales data, card transactions, and electronic payment activity. Fuel & Transport: A noticeable dip in petrol sales or public transit ridership, especially if it happens on the same day each week, will be reflected in energy reports and transportation authority revenue. Financial Flows: Mass delays in withdrawals, payments, or transactions can affect short-term liquidity, which analysts track closely. Market Signals: A single day alone will not destabilize markets-but the sharp spikes and troughs in transaction data are highly visible. They send a clear message, and the tactic can be escalated to two or three days a week if necessary. Global Strike for Gaza 1 DO NOT BUY ANYTHING Make no purchases of any kind on Thursdays. Check that no subscriptions or automatic payments are scheduled to leave your account on Thursdays. This boycott covers all businesses. Plan ahead: stock up on food and essentials beforehand, and if possible, support independent businesses on the days before and after the strike. For the strike to have an impact, we must spend nothing. 2 LIMIT OR AVOID PUBLIC TRANSPORT If you must travel for work or essential reasons, try to carpool, cycle, or walk instead. If public transport is unavoidable, see if you can buy tickets in advance so that Thursday itself registers no transaction. Do not buy fuel/charge electric cars on Thursdays. 3 THIS STRIKE DOES NOT INCLUDE WORK Many of us live paycheck to paycheck, and not everyone can risk losing a job by refusing to work. Where possible, consider using holiday days or personal leave to reduce production on Thursdays. Even if you must work, your participation in the spending strike alone is a massive contribution. We are not calling for you to lose your job. Note: This strike is not about staying home or going offline. Take to the streets. Organise. Be visible. Be seen. Mishigami Red Rooster: The thing is, Not even that works. Fascism has arisen in several countries that were communist for half a century. Apetivist: No. That's highly incorrect. Countries that remain socialists do not tolerate the rise of fascistsm. It's only countries who have lost their route to socialism who allow such a thing to happen. Therefore, they become proto-capitalist societies, not socialist societies.

Bruh, It's a very complicated subject, but this to me is the best explanation as to why it was expressly illegal to dissolve. It wasn't just a matter of protocol. It was a matter of legality that referendum in itself was an indication of what truly was going on so wrongly at that time.

In order to dismantle the Soviet Union from a legal point of view, it was necessary to follow the procedures prescribed by the law "On the Procedure for Resolving Issues Related to the Secession of the Union Republic from the USSR." It states that the decision to withdraw the union republic from the USSR is considered valid only "through a referendum if at least two-thirds of the citizens of the USSR permanently residing in the republic at the time the question of its withdrawal from the USSR is raised, vote for it". In fact, none of the former republics had a referendum on secession, although it was guaranteed by the Constitution of the USSR, and for the RSFSR, the Ukrainian SSR and the Belorussian SSR - also by the UN Charter. Legally, the signing of the trilateral Agreement on the establishment of the CIS in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and the announcement that the USSR no longer exists did not comply with the legislation in force at that time and contradicted the will of the people expressed in the All-Union referendum.
