I was not a cat person either. But I have continually had cats adopt me for the last 30 years… so I guess that makes me a cat person.
It all started when I agreed to let my roommate be a SPCA Foster mom… she adopted the litter (2) and somehow I ended up with the for the next 17 years!

But the crawled away from her and she couldn’t bring them back.
About 3 days after they were born, she came out to me frantically crying and lead me to the box… we tore it open and found all the dead kittens and Velcro. So in the house (in my box) they came.

When we were at Pt Reyes a few weeks ago the Pelicans were everywhere!! It was spectacular! They are so amazing to watch.
There was a carcass on the beach… I never knew about the “tooth” at the end of their beak…

Yes, we have two “house” cats right now… but for us a house cat is indoor/outdoor. Since we moved to the country we’ve never had a strictly indoor cat.

Every once in a long while we will get an overnight freeze… to protect their trees the farmers will turn on the sprinklers… if the next morning is sunny, the result is magical!
I never have time to stop and really capture it properly.
