This feels like Triangle of Sadness which felt like Lina Wertmüller’s Swept Away, as opposed to Guy Ritchie’s Swept Away remake; so this will be the third quasi reiteration off the original. Would still watch.

I’ve not seen Wicked, seen the other two, still couldn’t recognize him after looking him up. Maybe it’s me, I don’t know if I’ll notice him even after this, but good luck to whoever he is, in all his endeavors.

It’s a movie about going in the woods with your friends, playing make-believe, evading invisible non-existent threats—like the floor is lava—for 3 hours, and once they get to the magical place where all their wishes could come true they decide to not make any wishes.

Will the new Avatar finally bring Gargamel into the mix?

It’s purposefully a big mess, but I liked bits n pieces of it. I do actually wish that there was a full Pavement musical that I could see.

This is one of the inmates from the prison planet in Alien³ after they blew up an alien or something.

The messy plot & trying to make sense of it was part of what appealed to me. I enjoyed it much more than I was expecting.

Experimental Jet Set, Trash & No Star was my first Sonic Youth album & maybe because of that I’m most partial to it, followed by Sister then Daydream Nation.

I just rewatched Hamlet (1969) a couple of days ago & Nicol Williamson is still my favorite Hamlet.

Weapons is amazing, my favorite film this year, and hearing “Beware of Darkness” at the start just gave me goosebumps.

Zach Cregger’s next project is a Resident Evil film, finding that out was such an enormous disappointment.

Have you seen The Room Next Door yet? I was afraid the film would lose some of his touch, not being in Spanish, that the story would be too bleak & dry, given the material. But as soon as it started it had that Almodovar feel, it was so full of humanity & Julianne Moore was amazing in it.

Christopher Reeves’ Superman also killed General Zod, he chucked him down an icy crevasse after removing his superhuman abilities. This feels worse, because he’s no longer a threat and could’ve easily been imprisoned for his actions but, you play a John Williams score against it & everyone’s happy.

I saw this beauty at a theater when it first came out. It felt like it was designed to get you jumpy & unsettled from start to finish. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is incredible in it and I loved the Popeye music too.
