I have almost completed my fourth read of this seminal text. Samuel Delany is a genre. I admire many writers, but Delany and Le Guin, Butler, Mitchell, Melville, Morrison, Miller, Nin, Baldwin, Pynchon, Vollman, Ellison, and King remain my desert island choices. I like big books, and I cannot lie.
