Cynical, curmudgeonly old engineer. Happily married and proud father to two fine young men. Unix and Matlab geek. Keen cyclist, modeller and book worm. Basically an inquisitive idiot & just wish everyone would treat others with compassion & understanding.
No he didn’t do his best. I seem to recall he was skipping Cobra meetings so he could have time to write his f***ing book.

Sorry I refuse to attribute it to carelessness by Johnson. He knew exactly what he was doing and deemed them “acceptable losses” just to preen his own ego.

Totally reprehensible. What a price to pay to allow the Cheltenham Festival to go ahead.

We cancelled our subscription at the beginning of the year and I can’t say I’ve missed it. Apart from the odd comment from Ted in his notebooks I don’t think they give Lando the credit he deserves.

You wouldn’t be watching Sky F1 per chance?

Love the second shot, perfect position for the building windows to make it look like a block head unicorn eyes.

So true, he still hasn’t explained where his girlfriend suddenly found £800K down the back of the sofa to buy “his” house in Clacton.

I just assumed Betteridge’s law applied.

We’re in the same situation, the real work has to take place behind a firewall. Don’t get me wrong I do like the new interface but never going to use it online. If it helps Mathworks develop the product because it is all the same codebase then good for them, but robustness does need to improve.

It’s hard. Our youngest son has moved out rather abruptly to live with his girlfriend, leaving my better half with a bit of a void. So she’s currently halfway through crocheting two dozen little octopus’s, octopi?

because they mistakenly think that the failure to deport failed asylum seekers is due to the ECHR whereas in reality I seem to recall that the failure in majority of cases was because the authorities failed to follow due process.

I take it that was the better vintage compared to when they were wearing black knickers.

Ah! I now see my mistake. I didn’t look at Microsoft because I thought it was an article critical of it. I didn’t realise they were pushing it as a good point, “look we may be shit but we’re not as shit as all the other systems”.

Do you have the source for that? I run a counter insurgency operation at work against AI and this would be useful material.
