Heading to see my daughter perform in the 5th grade play of Newsies. Despite elements that didn’t age so well, it’s an appropriate message for the times.

I started a grassroots group, Founders for Kamala, during the election. I still keep the coasters on my desk to remind me of the spirit of all the people who fought for a different future.

I posted this on LinkedIn but seems wrong if I don't post here too! A 🧵.

“A world without Caesars.”

That was Jay Graber’s fashion response to Zuckerberg inserting his own name into the phrase, “Either Caesar or nothing.”

Jay is the CEO of Bluesky Social, which recently surpassed 33M users.

🚨 URGENT: Sign by 5pm ET to urge lawmakers to support policies that help startups secure the funding they need to grow. Outdated regulations shut out millions of potential investors who could be supporting startups, esp. those led by women & people of color.

Someone mailed me this with no note or return address. What I believe was a nice gesture has now turned into all-consuming thoughts about who and why.

The Super Bowl was a profound tribute to Black history and it aired on Fox. Delicious.

The artists masterfully highlighted America's narrative through music, performances, and storytelling.

Happy Black History Month. There is no America without Black history, present, and future.

It is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. 6 days ago we witnessed a Nazi salute directed at the American flag. The world is watching us fall to fascism. As a Jew and as an entrepreneur, I am sickened.

On this day of remembrance, please commit to recognizing the humanity in yourself and others.

We were all *today years old* when women were declared to have equal rights under the Constitution.

President Biden declared the ERA as ratified, making it the 28th Amendment of the Constitution. Women did not have equal civil rights under the U.S. Constitution until today.

This is momentous.

About this time last year, I stumbled across a @syracusehistory.bsky.social video of crews cleaning out the old Cooper Decorations building in Syracuse, NY.

Cooper Decoration Co. once hung holiday decorations across Central NY. They owned the 1912 building from 1971 to the early 2000s.

I posted on LinkedIn that for the first time in 20 yrs, no women will lead House committees; Republicans elected 17 white men as chairs. 93% of unique troll comments showed up 12-19 hrs later, from 3rd+ connections. It appeared to push my post only to people likely to disagree.

#Boston founders can apply for Baker Tilly's event, Fit to Fundraise, on 1/16 at Todd Snyder in the seaport. I'll be there to provide pitch feedback and founder support at this "tailor-made" event. (Get it? See what we did there?).

No women will lead House committees for the first time in 20 years. Republicans have elected 17 white male chairs to lead House committees. How's that for a #manel (all-male panel)?

Investors have a time management problem. With 50 pitch decks in their inbox, they need to quickly say "no" to many in order to focus on a few. This drives them to look for showstopping risks right away.

The problem with imposter syndrome is that it assumes the issue lies within the individual, ignoring the system in which that person operates.

Stop questioning your worth. Start questioning the system that makes you feel unqualified to pursue your ambition.

One of my angel investments "failed." The company dissolved, and I didn't recoup any money.

Here's the thing about angel investing: we don't answer to an investment committee or limited partners, and we define success and failure for ourselves. For me, this investment was not a failure.
