Visited Rossall point on Friday,didnt manage to see any Purple Sandpipers on the Groynes,but plenty of waders around,Turnstone,Sanderling,Dunlin,Ringed plover,Eider and R T Diver offshore,,Goldeneye,RB merg,Shag and Common Scoter on Fleetwood Marine Lake

This American Wigeon has been showing on the River Ribble at Howick cross,near Penwortham,for a few days,showed pretty well also a few Goosander around too

Nice to catch up with the 2 Snow Buntings on Lytham beach a couple of days ago,always seems to be a few locally every Winter..

Start of a New Year,and a visit to Martin Mere,Ring necked Duck still showing well from Discovery hide,nice views of a Glossy Ibis from Gordon Taylor,Hen & Marsh Harriers,G W Egret,always plenty to see,and a decent start to the year

A few from Leighton Moss yesterday,always a great place for "year ticking" species like Marsh Tit are very difficult anywhere else in Lancs,but are always common here
