France has just the opposite system. The social security system covers basic services, but most of us have inexpensive supplemental insurance to cover costs that social security won’t.

Each zodiac sign is 30° of right ascension starting at the spring equinox (0° Aires). Due to precession, the signs don’t completely overlap the constellations of the same name. Just FYI. Some people are confused by this. 😊

I’ll pass. It might be an incredible dystopian story, but I’m getting all the dystopian stories I can cope with from the news. I’m looking for escapism in my entertainment at the moment. 😟

It doesn’t seem to have occurred to anyone that this is probably not the only stupid thing these clowns have done. It’s just the first (known) thing that they invited a journalist to.

Edward R. Murrow was named head of USIA (parent of VOA) in 1961. He was a champion of honest journalism, but as USIA head he asked the BBC not to air “Harvest of Shame”, which they bought and he had produced, because it could give Europeans a bad image of the US. Honest journalism is hard. 😞
