Tesla Q2 earnings presentation celebrates the first time one of its vehicles delivered itself autonomously, driving itself to the customer's home--and parking illegally in a fire lane 😕

ahead of Tesla's Q2 earnings, we learn the brand's decline in California accelerated in the three-month period, down 18% (versus 13% across the U.S.). The Golden State remains its top domestic market, accounting for 58% of the nationwide total www.cncda.org/wp-content/u...

It’s a cult. If your safety driver has to intervene to keep your automated Tesla from plowing into an oncoming train it’s not an “almost perfect” ride

Ring’s Neighbor social media platform blowing up today with alerts about ICE raids all over Burbank, Glendale and Los Feliz. DHS flacks claim the focus is dangerous criminals but they only seem to abducting day laborers at Home Depot, workers at car washes, restaurants and landscaping crews

a disconnect between Tesla's share price and its core business. The stock has risen the past two days, up about 6% Tuesday, perhaps on excitement about the company's robotaxi plans (which won't generate much revenue soon). Meanwhile, used Teslas are losing value faster than any other brand 🤔

Tesla's profit is fattened by regulatory credit sales to other carmakers--free money. Its Q1 net income of $409 million plunged 71% and the only thing that kept it out of the red was the $595 million of pollution credits it booked.

This a terrible sign for its core business 🚨

just spitballing here but if California joined Canada as a Pacific province, you'd create a pretty cool country with 81 million people and the world's No. 3 economy with a $6.2 trillion GDP. Include Washington, Oregon and Hawaii and it's a nation of 94 million people and a $7.3 trillion economy 🤔
