It’s so absurd.

Haha yes. Apparently my sarcasm game is not strong enough for some people here. Though it seems like most got the joke.

More than a Reagan judge. Member of the Federalist Society and a pillar among conservative judges. Was a huge SC feeder to conservative justices back in the day. It’s very meaningful that he wrote it.

J. Harvie Wilkinson…just another one of those Marxist judges. Co-opted just like Luttig. 🤣

Yeah I think you might be right. In which case, it would raise lots of other questions and issues about the scope of US power.

Indeed. And if they’re no longer effectively in US custody, what is El Salvador’s basis to assert custody over them?
March 19, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Again with the condescension. I’m focused on the underlying issues. Not on DOJ complying or not complying with an order to provide info about where planes were, and when. I suggest you stop being condescending and calling people “dumb” on this platform. It reflects poorly on you.
March 19, 2025 at 2:22 PM
I’m not in a contest with you. Why don’t you stop being condescending? It’s pretty apparent from our discussion which of us has a better understanding of the issues here.

Yes, I really do. I don’t put “Esq” after my user name, but please don’t make assumptions about my expertise or understanding. My point is, DOJ has asserted that their landing in El Salvador is a critical difference. I don’t believe it is.
March 19, 2025 at 2:11 PM
I understand why it is a big deal. My point is, why are the plaintiffs and the court getting hung up on where the planes were, and when? The court should be able to order them to be returned at any time, even once they are in El Salvador.
March 19, 2025 at 2:04 PM
There’s an aspect to this entire thing about the planes that does not make sense: If the people who were deported on these flights are in El Salvador pursuant to a contract between the US and El Salvador, then aren’t they still under US custody?

Does this op-ed qualify as addressing support of “personal liberties”?
March 19, 2025 at 12:58 PM
And now we are concerned with countries emptying jails??? 🤔

Someone should tell him that they already do this.

Hegseth claims he had consensual sex at the conference, while he was still married to Wife #2 and while his mistress (who became Wife #3) was at home with their 2-month old baby. And now this McCormick guy claims Hegseth “doesn’t know who that is” about the woman Hegseth claims consented to sex?

Adultery is a crime under the UCMJ and is cause for a dishonorable discharge.

They are going to be stymied by litigation. Looper Bright is actually going to work against them because there is less room to maneuver; de-regulation is itself regulation.

Thanks! Though it appears that a lot of your soccer writers who are on Bluesky are not included in this list…
