ChatGPT Atlas is kinda not good. I'm thinking this is just new product wrinkles. But people, we have known ways to deal with that. Use a beta period. Don't just launch half baked software.

I'm afraid the collapse of software quality is accelerating.

@gluebyte.bsky.social Hi there. What's the best way to report or troubleshoot an issue I'm having with Shortcut Source Tool?

PS. I'm super impressed with the breadth of shortcuts you've published and the level of polish in them! Thank you.

the hottest, scarce, hirable skill in the age of AI just dropped:

clarity of thought, esp in written comms

remove the noise, ponder/iterate a bit before crafting (but not too much), adapt your message to resonate with the intended audience. that's how you'll stand out, how you'll remain memorable.

Whats the equivalent of git for an AI coding world?

We can’t really share the history of a software project by only committing source code. We need those prompts, chats, tool calls and decisions to accept and deny. The source code is derived data. It’s almost like checking in the compiled binary.

ok, AI Mode on Google Search is actually pretty useful.

I'm conflicted about how it deprives publishers on the web of their traffic and therefore the revenue/incentives to continue publishing.

Anecdata: I see like 3000% more YouTube ads in 2025 than a couple years ago. Is this just me?

The *minimum* price for a plan that supports Claude Code (AI in the terminal) is $100/mo. That stings.

(yes, I know using an pay-as-you-go API key is also an option. feels risky in the way an AWS bill can run away from you.)

Okay, can we all just agree that when it comes to sharing knowledge with the world, we're just **not** going to host it on medium dot com?

I'm tired of the "this first paragraph describes an interesting or relevant tech problem", scroll, "drats! out of free views", let's try again tomorrow - loop

pinboard.in has served me pretty well for nearly 7 years (RIP del.icio.us) as a lightweight and easy to use bookmarking service. But the API is currently timing out, and it's been on a slow slide into unreliability. I think it's time to move on.

What are all the cool kids doing for bookmarking now?
