It's heartbreaking. I thank everything I've never been truly poor, but goddammit, I have empathy & I just can't fathom how so many people in our society are ok with any of their neighbors being there.

As a federal employee, an offer like this is tempting, I don't trust these people farther than I can throw 'em. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they renege before the 8 months is up.
