This is so special. I mean, my first Grand Prix ever, I performed Riverdance, and I cannot believe that that was 12 years ago.
To be back 12 years later and getting to perform this program, I just feel so proud and honored. It speaks to that longevity, and my love of the sport.

So hopefully I can take what I did today, learn from it, and make sure that the long tomorrow is much cleaner.
Hopefully the confidence will just continue to rise.

I feel like my confidence has grown, and I can feel that from the Senior Bs. Of course, those technical errors are frustrating, but that's when I, hey, I get to compete it again in a week.

On going back to his Prince program]
My initial idea was to do another ballet. I didn't feel like it was pushing it. And this is a program that I never thought got its time in the sun.

And that became a big issue for me mentally, because you have a bad skate, then you feel bad about yourself. Whereas now, I'm going to school as well, and I've been able to focus on that more and not think about skating as much, which has actually allowed my skating to work.

I've had a few years where I struggled a bit with some mental health, just in the idea of I wasn't balancing my life well.
I was way too focused on skating. It was the only thing in my life. And because of that, I really would put my success in life on my success in skating.

We tried to put some stuff in, what is maybe not like an element, for example, this thing in the step we have, technically does not give us anything on a technical score or the levels, but it's for the audience, it's trying to do something a little bit different.

This year, our main goal was to individually get as good as we can. We've been skating together for so long, the connection and everything is there, we just both have to be better skaters with transitions and our jumps. It has been getting better but we've had setbacks.

Timing is everything, you know, and being able to make that happen for us this season is super crucial, and we feel like we're on the right track.

People ask all the time why we decided to do senior if we still had 2 or 3 more junior seasons. We felt like we kind of accomplished everything we wanted to in juniors, and juniors is all about developing, and so we felt like as a we did what we needed to do in that phase.

[on transitioning into seniors]

I mean, like you said, we're with the big dogs now, so a lot of what we're still putting out, you can definitely see the differences in when you're aware of that.

The second I got on the ice for that 6 minutes, though, I felt the crowd. I felt Olivia, and it was like easygoing from there.
Obviously, some tough loss in points here and there, but we will learn from them and we're still young.
We'll get better.

Training has been going pretty good. I think overall we've been able to make big strides.
It's the first big competition in over a year, I'm just gonna take it and, like, just look at the audience and just own the moment as much as I can, but tomorrow is tomorrow.
