the local woodpeckers seem to like this tree 🪶
a female downy woodpecker scooting up the left side of the tree and a male red-bellied woodpecker perched on a thicker branch to the right of the photo. the bark on the left side of the tree was stripped off earlier by a different woodpecker.

As long as they are unsalted it should be fine. Some of the small birds can’t get the shells off so I like to offer both in the shell and without.

Shrimpy boy with the long tongue 🪶

I call him Shrimpy because he reminds me of a piece of shrimp when he hangs off the side of the feeder 🍤
