I remember one of @trefeca.bsky.social ‘s colleagues coming in and writing their full title + name on the board with “Professor” on it. “It’s taken 25 years for me to get that, and it’s new, so I would appreciate it if you used it.” (Having spent 20 years working in HE, I get this now…)

Loved it. Took me right back to my A Level Medieval History… (which is the best course I’ve ever done)

Unlike my employer, we still had a radiator working in the office today.

This was nice to see pop up on my timeline. Bowley was my house - the green team - at primary school.

(“Those”, by the way did eventually work, helped by a brilliant community based maternity support worker and drop in group. Six years of “those” feeding over three babies has made me more and more angry about the lottery if standards of support and care in the early days of motherhood)

Also mum to just about a teenager but “you’ll never get any milk out of those” was the first comment I got from a midwife post-natally. This set me up for an awkward, hospital scheduled feeding regime for 5 days and eventually mastitis.

Power grid? Never got the hype, so dull.

In a twist of fate, having grown up hearing stories from there, my sister moved to Italy 20 years ago and now lives just 20 minutes away. I got married there - my wedding flowers end up in that cemetery.

My Grandad was in this area with the Lancashire Fusiliers. His best friend is in the war cemetery at Faenza. Thanks for sharing this.

Ahem, it’s been drying outside since January. Managed three loads yesterday though (last load went up at lunchtime).
