Lost in Lyon’s off field issues has been the emergence of Belgian winger Malick Fofana. Fofana is an electric dribbler with pace for days and is an ever present threat in front of goal for Lyon.

Taking over for Zirkzee as Bologna’s striker was a tall task for Castro but he has stepped up for Bologna. Castro is creative in many way and looks to set others up first, leading Bologna in assists.

In his first full season with Ajax’s first team, Dutch midfielder Kian Fitz-Jim has quickly made an impact, scoring twice in both the Eredivise and the Europa League. He a key link in the team, as he excels at dribbling through the midfield.

Frendrup has been a consistent presence in Genoa’s lineups for the last 3 seasons. The Dane is a disruptive force in the midfield with 64 tackles in Serie A, the most of any midfielder

Def: Álex Jiménez, Milan, 19🇪🇸
Young and energetic, Jimenez was forced into Milan’s lineup due to injuries and has shown promise, playing further up the field. Jimenez is aggressive in both defending and attacking with the pace and passing to be a danger anywhere on the pitch.

Def: Konstantinos Koulierakis, Wolfsburg, 21 🇬🇷
Another Greek. Complete is probably the best word to describe Koulierakis. A strong defender who can transition to attack smoothly. As shown by the fact he is top of his team in both pass success rate and tackle success rate.

Def: Pietro Comuzzo, Fiorentina, 19 🇮🇹
It is not often you see a young defender that can provide the stability and reliability that Comuzzo brings to Fiorentina. He adapted to Serie A quite easily and reads situations well, winning an incredible % of duels and interceptions

Def: Alberto Costa, Vitoria; 21 🇵🇹
Well Costa has yet to nail down a permanent starting spot, the young fullback shows a ton of promise. While his final pass is sometimes lacking, he combines impressive defensive numbers with the ability to push the ball up the wing.

GK: Konstantinos Tzolakis, Olympiacos; 21 🇬🇷
Tzolakis has followed up a great 2023-24 UECL campaign, in which his 3 penalty saves against Fenerbahce helped Olympiacos on their way to a trophy, with another stellar campaign.
