I don't go to the theatre much anymore either. I think this is only my third film this year, after Nezha 2 and Investiture of the Gods 2, films that don't always come out on streaming.

yeah same. I'm just not good with watching (or playing/video game) horror. honestly I felt the scariest part of the movie was the pre-vampire part, Jim Crow era society. was sure someone would be lynched anytime.

I'm personally not a huge fan of watching horror films, as I get nightmares very easily and lose sleep. Didn't originally want to watch the film because of this but was persuaded to.

It's not scary, take it from a wuss.

At two points in the film in particular, watching it gave a transcendent feeling, made me feel glad that the medium of film existed. If you can watch it in theatre, go for it. Movie of the year for me, I think.
