If you fear insects, don’t think it’s not an issue bcuz you can just eliminate the trigger. Instead, I encourage you to think about the costs of using insecticide and pesticide. Engaging in exposure therapy to eliminate what’s underlying your fear is a much better option for you & the environment.
Biophobias—fear of nature’s elements—don’t just impact mental health. They ripple through wildlife and public health, ecosystems & culture. We argue: it's time to frame biophobias as a One Health issue, tackling them with integrated solutions.
