As always, the idea that a lot of poor people make poor choices is one part of the story, and it's the part most Americans prefer to stop and focus on. Kudos for Mamdani for not stopping there.

One of my pet peeves is the headlines that are put in the form of a question, ala, "Is climate change real?" (NYT does this all the time.) I understand why they do it, but it often implies there's uncertainty or an open question where there really isn't.

Money should not be confused with "voice" at all. Are you supporting a constitutional amendment to undo the Citizen's United ruling? I would love to hear that you're serious about the need to take money out of politics.
