For a long time at work I have had imposter syndrome. Today was the day I realised I know what I'm doing and I can do the job.

Your fancy algorithm keeps telling me to try walking for exercise.

Stupid algorithm.

Last night a kid on crutches said "Twins!" when he saw me.

It took all my strength not to say "But you'll be fine in 6 weeks."

I'm a nice guy 98% of the time.

Superman was very good. But it moves very fast. Felt like 90 minutes.

Could have benefited from slowing down.

Got asked what shift work was like.

You're constantly jet lagged.

Go to the mall just to hear my favorite holiday sounds.

Don't stare

Stop staring

Leave the man alone

Stop staring right now

It's rude to stare

Sorry about the staring

Have applied for photo ID at work.

As is tradition for my ID photos, I look like a serial killer.

It's always interesting when I'm thrown into a group scenario that requires a lot of active work. Today I did a first aid course. Including CPR. I had to modify it to suit my way of moving and sitting..

Years ago a woman screamed at me in Birkenhead. I had gone to school with her son and she had heard I was dead.

Today I saw her again and she made a point of saying my name like she was still adjusting to my realiving

A very funny interaction with a little girl at the mall.

Her brother and her are scooting with dad close behind. She stops right in front of me and is looking at me like I'm a giant. She's looking at the crutches and trying to figure it all out.

Random advice. If someone falls on an escalator press the stop button at the base of the handrail.

In other news my knee gave out on the escalator.

I'm ok. But it was scary.
