I cut my hair using a butterfly cut tutorial. The weight of my hair was pulling my curls straight, and it needed a split ends trim. Well, I cut two inches off most of it and 4 inches off for shorter face framing layers. You can barely tell, but now it's curly again and easier for me to manage.

He's had a mostly positive week. A couple of minor accidents, but I've worked on him telling me when he needs help and he's done well. One dementia day where he got lost and cried for help, but he did recognize me when I went to help him. Max and Josie had a cuddle session on my lap, too.

I ordered fun stickers to cheer myself up. There might be a K-Pop Demon Hunters one in the batch. Also, this one, which I loved. These are created by Rachel at Doodlesandsketches.com.

Having a day where my curls look like terrible white girl dreads, which in reality are just matted hair. Honestly, I did run a comb through it when it was wet, but it sure as hell doesn't look like it.

And here's Max. He and Josie switched places. He's my sweet old guy. 18 years old with a rather derpy, endearing personality and so much love to give. He's really gentle. His takes most meds well, and he's good with nail trims. He requires pee pads around the litter box now, but we work with it.

Grapes!
These are Muscat grapes from a start I bought at the farmers' market 6 years ago. My vines are huge now. This is about 1/3 of the grapes growing now. Some of them aren't quite ready yet. They aren't seedless, but their flavor is worth spitting out a couple of seeds. This is a 64 oz bowl.

Here's Josie. She would love it if you were all here to pet her, but since you'rel too far away, here's a couple of cute photos of her instead. She is the sweetest cat. She's about the size of an adolescent kitten and very cuddly.

Max and Josie shelf time together.

Here's the cookbook I was telling @sarahkeliher.bsky.social about. It was written by my grandmother's friend's golf club. Almost all the recipes either have cottage cheese, evaporated milk or copious amounts of mayonnaise. I've included one of the worst recipes below. See alt text for details.

Ok, some shots of my porch garden. This isn't the whole thing, and it also has two chairs and a 1950s pink metal kitchen cabinet as a shed.

I've been trying to use a hair dryer with a diffuser with my curls to give my hair more body, and it does two annoying things: Straightens the curls at the roots and gives me ringlets. My bangs didn't want to curl correctly either. Is this just what a diffuser does? If so, I'm not feeling it.

Enjoy these photos of my cats while they enjoy their CBD supplements to help them not be terrified of the fireworks.

Josie is helping. The clear liquid diet sucks because you can get full and nauseated but still be hungry. I've learned slightly overhydrating is the only way to combat the dehydration of the prep I have to start later this afternoon. I've been doing this since my late 20s, and it never gets easier.

Josie has had an IBD flare all day. Keeping her hydrated with Hydrocare, giving her some high calorie supplement, some digestive treats and I got her heating pad out even though it was 81⁰ today. Poor girl. She's wanted to be by me all day.

I love that I can have a garden on my apartment patio. This is my wall of star jasmine. It covers my kitchen wall.
Here are my muscat grape vines and culinary lavender plant. The landscaper took off the rope tying the vines back, so tomorrow it gets put back in place as it's a two person job.

Ok, here's my first record post on Bluesky. I'm lazy, so I'm copying them from the site I originally posted them on.

The 12" single of Joy Divsion's Atmosphere pressed in 1980. The pink light on the turntable is my lamp with a color changing bulb. It's not a filter.

My cherry wood record cabinet with black hairpin legs. Two guitar amps are under/near it, as well as my guitar cases.

Do they look like this? This is amusingly enough an Orange Tip butterfly.

Happy birthday! One of my favorite movies is The Fall, because Lee Pace and Tarsem Singh. Enough said. And they're not babies, but my cats are cute animals who might be plotting something.

I bought two Star Wars Ruggables when they were on sale three or four years ago. One has stayed put in my dining room. The other was in the way when I had a wheelchair, so I put it away for later. Now, my ugly kitchen flooring is bothering me, so I put the other in the kitchen because it's washable.

Max is cute.

It's Josie. She is purring away. She is the most outgoing and friendly cat that I've ever had. Max is more introverted but still just as friendly. He's asleep on the window perch behind the curtains.

I made the lemon poppyseed pancakes with honey butter. I topped one with raspberries and coconut yogurt.

Without saying your age, who was your first animated crush?

Yeah, I was really into Spiderman as a little kid. I still like the comics, movies, et al. I just no longer wish I could marry him when I grew up, like I did when I was a preschooler. 🤣

A few years ago, I was sick and underweight from an extended hospital stay. My hair fell out due to malnutrition and a powerful antibiotic to treat MRSA. I was down to 88 lbs. I'm 5'4"with a more muscular build so I should be around 130 or so. Here's a comparison with me in 2022 vs. me today:
