It's a great conversation starter on a table. Between what people assume it's going to say and what it actually says.

My wife's response:

"You should figure out if there were more than 103 at time of taping to determine if they were actually just trying to communicate to an audience that would know better that Sunnydale High is actually underfunded since the mayor is a demon and wants just to eat the class"

Or perhaps it's more that as one of the old gods of the forest, the might beast stays in the hearts and minds (currency for gods as we know) and lives still!

Definitely think we will be using it. The smaller models are already "useful" and they run on a gaming machine or a home Mac. There also seems to be a lot of improvement in these small models using distillation of larger models.

We found my 11 year old using it to "improve his sentences". Luckily he's a good and pretty smart kid so all it took was explaining to him that wasn't what we wanted him to do and the goal was to learn his own style of writing. But in his head, that was a perfectly cromulent use of LLM technology.

I keep a copy on my conference table for folks to browse while they wait... They're usually surprised if hold such "pessimist views". But I think it's the only way we really have a shot: admit how hard it is!
