Isolario is a cycle of 9 duets, which can be performed, or just imagined, by any instrument or voice. The inspiration of these compositions comes from a compilation of texts by medieval writers from the “Arabic” world, describing a special and wonder-full island.

Inspired by the Japanese ambient music of the mid-'80s, which combined melody and rarefaction, listening and space, Francesca metabolizes the genre into a sort of ethic of lightness that allows form to emerge from almost nothing, like a building façade emerging from the mist when the light changes.

A parallelepiped open to the sky, the cabane would appear to be enormous if the exterior were not completely covered with mirrors.This makes the construction’s remarkable volume disappear into, or at least become more discrete with, the natural surroundings.
