#Opus had a great premise and a really likeable cast but this film is just about entertaining, veering into boring a lot of the time.
Ayo Edebiri is the highlight and her charisma is enough to carry the film but overall it’s really frustrating as it wastes its potential.

Just watched #lastgirlstanding and it’s got a genius idea for a horror film (what happens to a final girl after the film ends) but mostly squanders it.
I understand it’s low budget but there’s a ton of easy fixes on how the script could have been strengthened and improved on.

After watching #TheSacrament and it’s an underrated horror gem. It’s genuinely unsettling.
However it smacks of a missed opportunity as the main characters are quite passive and there’s huge logic issues.
This is a great example of a script needing a final big push and suffering as a result.

Really loved #TheTraitors this year. It had a slow start but once it got going it was a lot of fun and great telly.
That said I really disliked the finale, it felt needlessly cruel and just left a bad taste in my mouth.
At least we’ll always have the memes.
