Thank you to everyone who amplified our calls for legal amendments to the Criminal Harassment law! We did it!

We know the legal system will not solve the issue of stalking and there's a long road ahead but while we're stuck in this carceral system, let's minimize harm and save lives. ✊

The Canadian federal election is officially happening on April 28 🗳️

You will see lots of messaging about registering to vote, but that is a choice - not a necessity.

If being on the registry is a safety concern for you, you can just show up with ID and vote on the spot. It's your right!

Happy International Women's Day! Bonne Journée internationale de la femme!

We are an organization that represents all victims of stalking but that doesn't mean we ignore the statistical reality.

In Canada, 9 out of 10 stalkers are men and 8 out of 10 victims are women.

We deserve better!

A reminder that you do not have to register to vote in Canada.

If you don't feel safe being on the registry or getting a voter card mailed to your house feels too dangerous, just show up with picture ID that has your address on it.

And voilà! Democracy protected! 🗳️

"Wow, I wish someone was obsessed with me like that!"

This can make it hard for victims of stalking to spot red flags. It can make it difficult to understand your fears because "shouldn't I be flattered? Isn't obsession a sign of devotion?"

Obsession is #NotRomantic

Happy Valentine's Day! 💝

Relationships built on consent, trust, respect and shared interests? Huge fans!

Framing obsession, persistence and boundary violations as a sign of devotion? Hard no!

Stop romanticizing harmful behaviour.

Language matters!

The way people throw around the word "stalking" makes it difficult for survivors to be believed because "Hey, haven't we all done a little light stalking in our day?!"

+ your ex is allowed to move on! They, and their future partners, don't deserve harassment as a result.

January is Stalking Awareness Month! #SAM2025

A big question we see a lot in our work is whether or not to block the person harassing you.

If you block, you set a clear boundary with the harasser & are not subjected to harassment.

But by blocking them, you also can't document the harassment!
