1st place: One Piece

This is the most stylish, dynamic, funny and coolly drawn opening of the year. I haven't watched One Piece, but I approve.

What adds piquancy to the situation is that all the former objects of the girls' sighs turn out to be good people and continue to be somewhere nearby throughout the plot.

This not only creates a rather interesting dynamic, but also plays on certain cliches of the romantic genre, because the protagonist attracts typical secondary archetypes that almost never stay with the central character.

A lot of heroines gather around the main character, but not for romance, but for a friend zone, in order to cry about failed love and survive the painful consequences of parting.

2nd place: Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!

Another romantic series of the summer, which... well, you get the idea. This anime is interesting in that it is kind of a harem, but in reverse.

She teases a classmate, telling him something nice in Russian, hoping that he does not understand anything. And he has 10,000 hours of CS:GO behind him...

This time without manic specifics, but with Russian flavor.
Meet: a candidate for the head of the student council and simply the main character named Alisa Mikhailovna.

3rd place: Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san

This is the second romantic series of the summer after "Shoushimin Series", thanks to which the summer season of 2024 will forever be remembered as the great summer of romance.

The relationships between the characters really develop, they are varied, they are full of little things and details, they have to go through trials.

"Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu" is very good in that it does not try to languish the viewer with the status quo throughout the entire title, turning the anime into a series of comedy-romantic scenes that stand still.

Attempts to ignore each other's presence become increasingly useless and interaction begins between the two quiet ones - sometimes she will help with something small, sometimes he, surprised by her sudden kindness, will help out in return. Is all this a coincidence?

But then this classmate suddenly disturbs his peace among the books in order to eat something while no one is looking, making such visits a regular tradition.

4th place: Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu

The story begins as something incomprehensible and cringe-worthy: some depressed schoolboy with dubious interests sits in the library and thinks about killing his classmate.

But as the plot develops and the lore unfolds, everything turns out to be much more complicated and interesting. As a result, the series not only became one of the best representatives of the fantasy genre in anime for me, but also an ideal reflection of the gameplay of the Dragon's Dogma game.

As a way of summing up the past year, I'll allow myself to recall another official video clip. This time about Dungeon Meshi.
The series was initially positioned as a kind of culinary fantasy, where everything revolves around cooking delicious food from the terrible monsters of the Dungeon.

which gives rise to perhaps the most amazing on-screen chemistry of the season.
And the action here, by the way... LUXURY!

Dandadan creates the impression of a story about the combination of the incompatible, in which the simultaneous existence of ghosts and aliens seems to reflect the suddenly formed bonds between a modest quiet guy and a hot-tempered beauty,

It seems that Science SARU studio is gradually moving from aesthetic anime for a narrow circle of connoisseurs to the road of shonen and blockbusters. And the approach turned out to be worthy.

And the more you watch it, the more questions arise. I guess this adaptation is more for players who understand and know everything. But it's impossible to watch what's happening out of context. It literally turns into the worst anime ever.

6th place: Blue Archive the Animation

An anime that I didn't understand. At all. What kind of schools are these? Why do students have to pay off their debts? Are they not going to graduate? Why is the teacher so useless, and what does he even teach?

It seems the author can mold anything from this title, while always delivering perfection, which is what the adaptation is. It is not for nothing that it does not fall from the first place in the top anime of all time.

but they are definitely well-thought-out and deep - enough to hook the viewer with interesting interactions, evolving relationships, and legendary scenes. And when it needs to, "Sousou no Frieren" becomes epic like "The Lord of the Rings" and dynamic like a combat shonen.

The series is leisurely and lifelike like "Mushoku Tensei", which is not shy about spending time on everyday life, while still being interesting. Its characters don't shine with bright archetypes,

The manga "Dungeon Meshi" started to come out, the Cygames studio is making "Bahamuts" and "Granblue Fantasy", as if responding to the unclear direction of Square Enix's title projects. And all this eventually led us to "Sousou no Frieren".
