Understandable, trauma takes time to work itself out and slowly heal in certain places/areas. It may not fully heal, but it can get better with new life experiences, life looking back on, etc.

Copyrights to a lot of later charlton horror comic books have been purchased by some obscure foreign country back in 80s when charlton was selling off properties.

Tho, some publishers succeed in getting rights to publish non-horror comics from them. Maybe could happen one day with charlton horror?

Interesting, I wonder how it would look like if I made it as a furry transformation comic art story in my own art style?

What's up fellow coonie? Do you enjoy horror media? <w< Totally random off topic question I know XD.

I hope your life goes well soon as possible, anybody can be valuable as long have faith in life.

Heh, go ahead. I don't mind at all, thumbs up!

Heh yes, I hope my friend found it funny as we did xD. I think he feels really complicated about it years later. But hey, we were only children back before xD.

The fictional crime TV shows (It's haunting visuals) I saw as a child wasn't x-files, but X-files comic books did scared me as a child xD.

Understandable, I think watching fictional Crime TV shows saved my life as a child before 9/11. Crime TV shows I saw had this weird supernatural horror vibes in a way I was traumatized for a while.

My friend was mad that 9/11 canceled his soccer practice, funnier in retrospect looking back on.

It was high school many years later when realized how haunting and bad the whole 9/11 was.

I decided on both high school shooting of 1999 story, and 9/11 completely changed society forever. Making it very difficult to make adventure comic stories with guns, etc.

Middle school was empty years. 2/2

I was fortunate in a way I wasn't traumatized by 9/11. Especially I was in elementary when happened, so my family, friends, teachers, etc allowing me be a child being happy not understanding.

I viewed 9/11 more on same levels as fiction TV crime shows that's "normal scary", myself staying happy 1/2

Thanks, it is really old but very strong enough to repost :D.

The social media is unfortunately designed to take unfair advantage of our minds. Keeping ourselves far away from the whole real life privacy care more.

Most people don't have good memory on what they do and what they did. Increasing worrying digital use instead of primary life care.
November 16, 2025 at 6:22 PM
To add context, right now social media use is very poorly designed. The use of social media is very deeply undereducated. Whole social media used incorrectly, been making social media as a whole becoming ill-fated.

Many people like myself will massively reduced the use of social media as a whole.
November 16, 2025 at 6:18 PM
However, while furry fandom does come off ill-fated from time to time. I strongly believe it will evolve over time. Human problems will always exist.

Its more on how social media taking unfair advantages of many people's mental health unfairly. Not only furries. Lack of privacy & self care for many

It was bizarre to see groups that used to be more free form, but now more strictly business. Due to furs deciding on living in hundreds of groups.

In retrospect, should have saw it coming. But, we were all learning new things about telegram/discord. It was great before, now it's meh. 2/2

Ah no worries, unfortunately I'm still living in rural areas since art college I finished in 2015 due to housing/rent crisis we're been having for about a decade. So the deeper conversations are still by real time messaging. Groups unfortunately declined in quality. 1/2
November 14, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Yes, still I believe face to face is still the best more realistic way to get know them more. With real time personal messaging comes second for more understanding.

Right now groups I think will make any person feel more alone. Not only myself. Most don't pay attention to groups which make sense.
November 14, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Admittedly, it's cumbersome to write within limits here xD.

I like horror/weirdness more, since they don't try to make any feel good or bad.

I think the world is more towards negative due to isolation, not only social media. When we get home from work, easier to turn off para-socialism, etc. 2/2
November 14, 2025 at 6:56 PM
When myself said real time conversations, I meant more like Telegram/discord. Since they're easier to invest time and effort into one on one.

I used to live on groups for between six to eight years, especially first six years. Left all groups in the July 2024 which turns out to be lucky timing. 1/2

Very interesting, I don't have much of social connections with people on screens. I'm always more interested in atmospheric feel/mood of storytelling, etc. Do have cochlear implant, I'm deaf but can only hear in computer sound. So, I had to figure out on my own. Enjoy real time conversations better.
November 14, 2025 at 6:32 PM
I think there's both positives and negatives to the whole parasocial thing since between 1930's and 1990's. Because media can keep people in check. But private social life is the most important to have with real life people.

But, not social media. Even reality TV is bad. Divides people/groups. 2/2
