I think it's new that Klingons practice polygamy and in this case polyandry - multiple husbands - which seems to imply bisexuality. So this Trek is not afraid to discuss characters sexuality albeit very subtly. Darem is bi too.

As one of the fathers? The internet didn't blow yet with people commenting about this. If Jay-Den had said "I have 2 dads" that would have set them off. But he simply said my mother and fathers. The writers are excellent! Updating lore under the noses of the puritans.

I saw this in the cinema upon release. Funnily enough because it was based on a graphic novel, it was considered "real". I always considered a thoughtful portrayal of radicalisation. Not to be missed.

You might need to list an actual star date at the beginning of your eps because you say things like "that's relevant to what's happening this week". WE know what you mean but future listeners will miss the nuance and it's good for them to know ❤️🖖🏼

Enjoyed the review. I think you can consider planets being destroyed/displacing populations as similar to our Pacific Islands like Tuvalu having to literally abandon their home worlds due to rising sea waters. It's a real terrible thing 😞

It was a great podcast ep - thanks Laurie and Anthony. Great to hear Oded - casting is always terrific. Holly is phenomenal. I am so moved by her speeches. She has become such a stellar captain and character overnight ❤️🖖🏼
