You could do a PNG/static image of the character which isn't as flashy but would def be cheaper. Idk, look into it! I think that is a great idea for you.

Nah absolutely leave that to the artists who do that for a living.
But I've heard it's like north of $2k in most cases for a good one. You aren't just paying for art but for rigging and licensing (?), usually not all from the same person either. 1/2

Those things are pretty expensive but the community is extensive
