Both parties are filled with corrupt hypocrites.

I don't trust many left-wing influencers because of their hypocrisy. If a republican influencer has ever made a legitimate (legit meaning it was obvious hypocrisy) meme about you, I'm not interested in you.
@crampell.bsky.social Thoughts on Cory Booker's gesture at the California Democrats event? Are you going to dare Scott Jennings to do it again? Or can you admit just how incredibly stupid you looked for being outraged over Musk's gesture?
Jennings: This salute trutherism is outrageous.

Rampell: Do it right now on TV! If you think it’s a normal way to greet people, do it right now on TV. Why won’t you?!

The amount of cope is nuts.
Dems last week: this will never work!
Dems today: this might work, but it still isn't going to work as well as everyone thinks it is!

Dem pundits are rooting against the American ppl at this point. We need fresh ideas and leadership on the left.
If they are really Trump's allies, or at least want him/Republicans to make better decisions, people like Ackman should stop groveling to Trump and pretending everything he does is the work of a very special genius. They are only encouraging worse decisions down the road.

This is such a disingenuous argument. This photo is from about 50 years ago. Do you think we've gotten better at emissions control and reduction in the last 5 decades? C'mon. Let's make sane, reasonable arguments. Not this kind of nonsense. This kind of illogic is how you lose all seven swing states
Trump wants to turn back to coal.

This is what America looked like on a sunny day when we were burning coal. 👇

I'm done with the 'oligarch' argument from the left when the 'organic' movement protesting Elon is funded through Indivisible partly via George Soros. Are we fine with oligarchs as long as they are on our side?

The left is badly in need of new leadership.

The people who hate this article are the ones who remain in denial. They see the Harris campaign as having done an amazing job. They see the Biden administration as having done an amazing job. The country disagreed. The dems response is finger pointing rather than to actually understand the loss.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

“Defeat has a long history of inspiring honest reflection in politics. In this time of frustration and anxiety for Democrats, they should give it a try,” the editorial board writes.
Opinion | The Democrats Are in Denial About 2024
Party leaders have embraced convenient excuses. This perilous political moment requires more self-reflection and honesty.

This is not leadership not even close. Jo is a paid democratic influencer. She is a meme generator for the right. Any panel that includes her should be dismissed as poorly thought out and fully ignored.

The dems are dramatically lacking in leadership now.
This is what leadership looks like. Thank you for being a warrior and for joining us on Over It! today, @balint.house.gov!

Military failures should be non-partisan. Lack of accountability from both sides is bad. Yes, someone should resign/be fired over Signalgate. Similarly, someone should've resigned/been fired over the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Lack of action from the dems is providing cover to the Rs.
March 28, 2025 at 11:19 AM
Can someone kindly ask Tim Walz to stop doing events? If someone told me he was a paid republican plant, my reaction would be, "That makes sense."

The leadership void in the democratic party is enormous and the people who are attempting to step forward embarrass themselves almost daily.
March 28, 2025 at 11:13 AM
Art Candee's takes are so bad that the account is a meme. No one should be looking to this account for ideas & guidance on how to better the democratic party. Also, democrats should be big mad at Crockett for continuing to be an embarrassment. Making fun of someone in a wheel chair is unacceptable.
March 25, 2025 at 5:10 PM
This is a big deal and Hegseth should be held accountable for this. At the same time, the left's pundits (in this case @rachelbitecofer.bsky.social) claiming Fox isn't covering this is intellectually dishonest.

Continued nonsense from our pundits on the left as @crampell.bsky.social re-posts @sbg1.bsky.social post decrying a painting Putin commissioned for Trump. Yes, this is bad. But is it as bad as a Ukrainian firm giving a job to Hunter Biden that he was not qualified for? Any hand wringing over that?
March 23, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Aaron Blake from the Washington Post posted this at the other site. I don't think he is on here (?). I think he is missing a bigger point. His post was to highlight the independent voters. Here's what I see:

It would be stellar if the Dems could take some moral high ground regarding being the party that is trustworthy. But we can't because, among other things, I keep seeing Randi Weingarten out and about claiming she wanted to open schools. Left leaning media needs to stop platforming her.
This reminds me of a rule that Austan Goolsbee (now Chicago Fed president, then an econ professor) once taught me. He called it the “pathological irony of crisis”: If you lose credibility, your statements begin to mean the opposite of what you say.

Last night on CNN @xochitlhinojosa.bsky.social embarrassed herself with this illogical argument: "things are bad because senior officials in the government say they are bad."

The other panelists quickly demolished this poor argument from Xochitl, noting that no one spoke up re: Biden's decline.

What about the price of roses from Colombia? Remember when that was a crisis? Performative over-reaction to all that Trump does is how we lose all 7 swing states. Declaring everything to be terrible is a terrible strategy. Let's take a breath, not declare the sky is falling every day and strategize.

@bendreyfuss.bsky.social

Posts like Ben's on X are pathetic. We have not learned anything. Can dems acknowledge the extent that they engaged in trying to censor stories? If all this was was junior staffers and Tide pods, then no big deal. But it went much deeper than this and everyone knows it.
February 14, 2025 at 7:55 PM
@sbg1.bsky.social

The left used to have logical, cogent arguments. It's a shame we lack that kind of leadership and influence now. Many statues were pulled down in the last half decade. Milley is a footnote in American history. Susan Glasser is quite wrong with this take. Embarrassingly so.
January 29, 2025 at 3:54 PM
Why can't anyone on the left give an articulate, logical response on immigration? Jenna Arnold complaining about American women not being able to get blueberries for their smoothies is off the mark & it sounded like the 'Woman You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation with at a Party" skit on SNL.
January 29, 2025 at 2:39 PM
Why does anyone think Rampell got the best of Jennings in this exchange? A performative Rampell is saying nanny-nanny-boo-boo-stick-your-head-in-doo-doo and Jennings, correctly, isn't taking her seriously. The nation of Israel defines who their enemies are and which people they consider dangerous.

@jacktorry1920.bsky.social

Jack Torry among many people who jumped the gun on this brief spat with Colombia.

The left needs new influencers so bad. Focus on governing better. Focus on new policy. Stop focusing on moment-by-moment commentary on what Trump is doing.

More of this = continued losses
January 26, 2025 at 9:21 PM
I can't keep up with the number of left wing accounts trying to dunk on Trump for what has quickly become a diplomatic victory over Colombia that played out in real time this morning.

We need logic and new thoughts on the left. If your day is spent waiting to 'get' Trump, you should be ignored.
January 26, 2025 at 9:17 PM
@crampell.bsky.social

We need influencers who aren't breathlessly waiting by their keyboards for a gotcha moment on Trump. If we keep this us, we will keep piling up the losses. We need new influencers and new ideas. I'm a fan of Catherine's. But this exposes some poor motives on her part.

Spot on from Nate Silver & some solid posts from him on X. Govern better. Understand what the voters want & then execute on that. The left continues to ignore this at their own peril.

There are a lot of worthless influencers on the left who need to be ignored.

I don't like Trump or many of his appointees. But this piece by @rexhuppke.bsky.social is an embarrassment. I'm dumber for having read what I thought was going to be an actual journalistic effort.

I'm a broken record: the left needs new thought leadership.
