Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, H.W. Bush (2 Dems, 2 GOPs) all lawfully used the Insurrection Act. There is NO statutory justification for Trump’s federalizing of Nat’l Guard in California, only exemption for Posse Comitatus Act. Trump will do this in more Blue states to impose martial law.

Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was Trump’s press sec’y. Arkansas is a red state. Trump refused to help them. He hates Canada. So, I doubt he’ll do anything to help with fires.

CA is one of 13 states that send more money to fed gov’t than it receives. CA is world’s 4th largest economy in world. If only 50% Californians withheld income tax, it could have major impact for USA. Trump is unpopular in CA — 5 million GOPs in state of 41 million people.

I’m Air Force vet. Troops have duty to disobey unlawful orders that violate Constitution or direct them to commit crime. UCMJ Articles 90, 92. This deployment is questionable legally. It violates Posse Comitatus Act. Only 1807 Insurrection Act provides a statutory exception to Posse Comitatus Act.
