I believe all the candidates were members of the human race.
There's no reason to hear someone say a phrase like "superior race" and default to benefit of the doubt.

Sarah was elected by Delaware as its only Rep. She is openly trans and supports LGBTQ causes. She has not dedicated herself to signaling virtue and giving lip service, instead seeming to prefer substantive speech and action. And for that she must...not be allowed to represent her state, it seems.

Even if an ACA extension were passed in December (it wouldn't be, obviously, or it could simply be conceded by Rs now to end the shutdown), people would have already passed up re-enrolling for 2026 based on the premiums being impossible to pay. So I think they'd lose their insurance anyway.

Only a too-short memory could allow forgiving her for what she's done. But, what if the shift toward sanity and behaving responsibly is not really an act but something more like what happens to the raised-conservative kids who become exposed to liberal peers when they go to college?

I swear I hate terminally online trans leftists.
They expect the world or Sarah McBride.

And by dogma, ok that does sound like code also. But I mean literally dogma, as Sarah has talked about too. Making centrists for instance be very on their toes about language.

I didn't say anything like "all trans people are McBride haters", though. I don't even know if there are many, I hope there aren't. But, I do know they are vocal and aggressive.

Ok, I hope so. Do you really believe there aren't trans folks ("activists" by virtue of speaking on behalf of trans people in forums like these) who haven't written her off and have no interest in defending her as loudly as they've criticized her?

I think it's an out-lefting, out-activisting thing, not really a reflection of a particular community. But it's hard to see when it could literally take down, just a year from now, the only trans person in congress. To say nothing of her feelings or the fact that she may be being misunderstood.

I didn't say they considered the abuse justified. I said they're not going to stand up for her.
