Boycott fascist tech.
A guide for individuals, marketers, small business owners and non-profits on how to divest from the technoligarchy.

Exactly, they're telling us AI is "inevitable" because the tech companies have invested billions of dollars in the data centers and infrastructure to keep their AI projects going.

If it turns out we don't "need" AI, they lose all that money. 🥲

All the AI companies are owned by fascist tech billionaires.

Using AI to create a commercial signals that the company would rather support these AI companies than actual artists. That's the reason AI sucks (not to mention the environmental implications of AI use.)

Yep, there's a book about it called Deepfakes by Nina Schick, it came out in 2020 and most of the stuff she warned about is starting to come to fruition.

Please consider moving away from Google for sharing resistance information.

Google's AI has access to all your information and now Google is also aligned with the Trump administration.

Who will stop them from handing your information over to ICE?

Keep your data safe and ditch Google!

Not to mention that every AI company is owned by fascist billionaires, so choosing to use AI over people puts the company's values right there on display.

Don't insult children like that.

It's not just just Fox News though.

Most of the mass media is owned by republicans.

Then there is the tech billionaires who own social media and who are now fully aligned with Trump through financial donations & government contracts.

Fox News is only a part of the right-wing propaganda machine.

Right? Capitalism promised us healthy competition to create the best products and services and it seems like we've resigned ourselves to choosing monopolies and duopolies.

There is more out there, but the infrastructure the monopolies created are strong.

Got guides to Amazon and Google products, working on a Microsoft one too, but the best substitute would be Linux if you're techy.

Apple is slightly better than Microsoft because at least they don't have government contracts, but they still financially support Trump.

"That staged image was a mask for anger and resentment — a desperate attempt to look powerful while attacking those who actually serve their country."

Who's the ICE bootlicker who wrote this? 🤮

The way to opt-out is to move away from Gmail.

Even if you've gotta revert back to Google maps for accuracy, you can still use it logged out.

Don't let perfection get in the way of progress. Making concious decisions in reducing our dependence on big tech is a huge step in the right direction by any means!

Some alternatives are:
- OpenStreetMaps
- HERE WeGo
- Organic Maps

They're not quite as comprehensive as Google Maps/Waze, because they don't collect nearly the same amount of data Google does, but it might be good enough for your purposes!

Sorry to spoil the fun but Pokemon Go is just a gamified front for Google's surveillance capitalism.

www.wired.com/story/the-ag...
Pokémon Go was a warning about the rise of surveillance capitalism
Shoshanna Zuboff's new book The Age of Surveillance Capitalism is a wake-up call about how tech companies monetize every moment of our lives – and threaten our free will in the process

FYI because many folks might not know this: On top of other ethical implications, Fiverr is an Israeli company so using it supports an apartheid state.
