The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki team presented the #AntiDop project at the 5th International Conference of Sport Sciences in Thessaloniki. Their presentation sparked an engaging exchange on the use of nutritional supplements – and won 3rd prize in the conference’s poster competition. 🏆

At our recent #AntiDop project meeting in Malta 🇲🇹, we made great progress in developing our educational materials for coaches, parents, and medical staff. These materials will focus on anti-doping in relation to athletes’ use of nutritional supplements.

In February, our partners met in Thessaloniki for the #AntiDop kick-off. In a short video, our project partner, Dr Susana Papadopoulou, outlines the project's objectives. Dr Papadopoulou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the International Hellenic University.

Doping is a global phenomenon. However, not all athletes violate doping rules by intention. Unintentional violations may be caused by a lack of knowledge, contaminated supplements, or medical treatments. 

For example, Nutritional Supplements come in various forms and contain many ingredients. [1/6]
