Made falafel from Italian black/purple fava beans (a “bell” variety). Turned out great! & I didn’t even have to double-peel them (which is the worst aspect of fava cooking).
The dark color of the beans isn’t apparent in the post-soaking photo below. + They’ve started crossing with broad fava beans!

I’m sad that I never seem to have enough time to harvest the fruit growing (& going unpicked) in my neighborhood.
I’m happy that I managed to get a couple peaches before they were totally gone, at least!
