A lot of hobbies are increasingly becoming priced for the rich and the whales because they have the money rather than going for a wide audience I hate it. All my hobbies are having that happen. Gaming, mtg, miniatures, etc.

I find parents are a very important but oft forgotten part of a character's upbringing and development.
Never figured out my WoLs parents but I've never managed a backstory that works for me unfortunately.

I think a big part of that is that cute and passionate stuff is an important part of your other FE stuff while Five and Co. are their own deeply effed up little corner for the dark thoughts you're ashamed to admit.

This is part of why, if a creator has an idea for a character that they love, they'll often try to put them into an indie series like Image. It's much higher risk but also much higher reward, even if succesful indie comics like Monstress or Something is killing the children don't impact the mainstrm

I've always found this panel from werewolf by night 2023 remind me a lot of gwen/aleksei. Its just a single issue and yet their interactions and dynamic is so good I couldn't help but fall in love with both.

If I remember correctly it's in the opposite direction. Crapper made the toilet and the brits tend to nickname things after inventors, but its been so forgotten and crap is so associated with waste that people think it's a coincidence.

A few of them I've met have openly said that I'm closed minded because won't consider the possibility of Atlantis or Giants.
