We gathered downtown to say it loud and clear: in this country, we have #NoKings!

We have to be persistent to see things through. To protect our community from Trump’s budget cuts by voting Yes on Measure A. To take back the House by voting Yes on 50. And to kick him out of the White House in 2028!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining @svyoungdems.bsky.social for their fall fundraiser. It’s not an exaggeration to say that their support out at the doors was critical to my campaign’s wins this year. (1/2)

I had the pleasure of taking part in @victoryinstitute.bsky.social’s LGBTQ+ Public Leadership Summit. In spite of the political climate nationally and the local context why we held a special election, I knew how important it was to have openly queer representation on the ballot. (1/2)

As I wrap up my first day on San José City Council, I wanted thank everyone who made today possible. I wouldn’t be sitting on the dais, serving the residents of District 3, without your support. (1/2)

Last night’s public safety town hall hosted by the San Jose Downtown Association brought together leaders like Mayor Matt Mahan and Supervisor Betty Duong as well as downtown neighbors and community partners for a frank discussion about the challenges of public safety downtown. (1/2)

I had the pleasure of attending Prosperity Lab’s ribbon cutting with my City Council colleagues this afternoon! I’m excited to see how this community kitchen will empower the over 20 food service small businesses taking part in this venture to grow and thrive. (1/2)

Loved spending time across D3 for National Night Out! I was able to make it out to the St. James Neighborhood, McKinley Bonita, Goodyear Mastic, Japantown, Naglee Park, and Guadalupe Washington. It was so grounding to spend time with neighbors before I take office next week.

I’ll be joining SJ City Council next week, but I’m already hard at work making our downtown more vibrant! Yesterday we celebrated the Santa Clara Corridor Project with the San Jose Downtown Association and today I joined volunteers painting the street mural here in the Qmunity District. (1/2)

I was proud to join @seiu.org for today’s #FamiliesFirst Day of Action. Collective action is more important than ever amid the unprecedented ongoing assault from our federal government. Here in San José, I’m committed to fighting for the future our working families and immigrant communities deserve.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a month since Election Day. @baymec.bsky.social played an important role in helping our campaign get across the finish line and I’m honored to have their support. (1/2)

We were never supposed to make it this far, but thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who knocked on over 30,000 doors, I’m proud to call myself District 3’s next councilmember. (1/2)

It wasn’t all that long ago that we made it into the runoff by just a handful of votes, so we really do mean it when we say that we wouldn’t have made it this far without you. I hope to see you this weekend as we make our final push! Links to all of these events will be in the thread below.
