Thanks to residents for inviting us - their ward councillors - down to Monkbridge Landing to plant daffodil bulbs for spring colour next year - a couple of hundred in the ground. Volunteers make vital contributions to improving & maintaining York's 'public realm'.

Delighted to move a motion at Thursday night's 'Full Council' to renew York's commitment to fair trade & our status as a Fairtrade City on its 20th anniversary. Thanks to my Labour & Co-operative colleagues for seconding & speaking in favour of it, & for the cross-party, unanimous support!
