All of the games are good in their own way! 4 and 5 just does the best at... everything lol.
3 and 6 are fine, but are the weakest in the series in my opinion. 3 for the story and 6 for the gameplay. I'm sure they have fans that could do a better job describing them than me though!

The stories are stand-alone so play whichever! Only problem is you won't get references in the post game but those are typically non canon anyway. If you somehow find Disgaea Dimension 2 then play D1 first.

Disgaea 4 is my favorite! 5 is really good too! 3 and 6 are hard to recommend, at least for me... I share my bday with Usalia from D5! Very cute bun girl who loves curry! (One of my fav foods!)

Valvatorez is still my favorite. His lines are funny, inspiring, or both. Everyone loves him in game and irl. He gets an angel wife and werewolf husband. 10/10 character.

I'm not terribly familiar with the Neptunia series. Sounds like she's only in the first one.
