#OpenAccess in ANZ Journal of Survey. Pilot research to explore experiences of gay/bi men with anorectal surgery. We found poor experiences of aftercare related to sexual wellbeing / function, and opportunities for improvement to surgical education.

Fab to have my achievements recognised with a promotion to Research Fellow / Lecturer.

Academia can be quite the hustle, but I genuinely love the people and community partners I work with and the sociological and applied health research we are able to do in HIV, sexual health, and LGBTQ+ health.

New open access article from our team.

Event-driven / on-demand (AKA 2-1-1) PrEP use has tripled between 2019-2023 in Australia, with 28% of gay/bi men and other men who have sex with men now using event-driven PrEP in 2023.

Our open access article on PrEP dosing practices is in issue in Sociology of Health & Illness. Considering the mundane domestic practices of dosing generates insight into how adherence is materialised and how conditions for capacitating dosing might be better supported.

Check out our open access article in AIDS and Behavior examining HIV prevention coverage (condoms, PrEP, undetectable viral load) across Australia. While PrEP is most common prevention method, younger folk and bi men need to be prioritised for enhanced access. link.springer.com/article/10.1...
