I think I am going to be re-reading that post at least another couple of times to really digest it. But it really is wonderfully articulated, so again, thank you so much for taking what must have been quite some time to write it.

I also think that Google's Learnlm is maybe one of the most underhyped models. I've been using it to learn lambda calculus and it's been super useful for breaking the subject down and making sure I understand each subtopic before moving on to more complex topics. /3

For example, last week I was trying to wrap my head around a gnarly code base. So I recorded a voice memo as I navigated round the code base for an hour or so, then after had an llm create graphviz and mermaidjs diagrams of what I had described. I had to make some tweaks, but the result was great /2

This is such a great post. Thank you! You describe a lot of the areas I have got most value from llms, which has mostly been as a tool for removing friction with deep thinking and learning. /1

@mitchellhashimoto.bsky.social mentioned this in a podcast (I think) some time ago and called it readme based development. Since then I've always used the technique when making something new. It really works well and I code myself into a corner much less often.

I suffered debilitating anxiety attacks at least once a month. And then I got my adhd diagnosis and started meds, after which my anxiety attacks just stopped. I certainly wasn't expecting it, but just that alone is a huge quality of life improvement.

Omg, I love these! Having an apple watch has really helped me. Being able to add reminders with Siri without having to take out my phone removes a lot of that friction of "oh ill do it in a couple of mins"... *narrators voice*...

I like the github code search solution to this. The search box is prefilled with a filter for the context of the current page (org or repo) which you can delete if you do want to search all of GH

Multi-cluster as a first class citizen. Feels like everyone is rolling their own management/meta cluster using a mishmash of capi/crossplane/whatever.
