Confession. Ever since I was a kid, the “The End” screen from Super Mario World has been slightly… unsettling to me. I think it’s just all the characters being slightly off-model staring blankly at the camera in a black void, but even today as an adult, it just feels off.

I know it’s petty but my biggest issue with NWH was its treatment of Sandman. Sandman’s tragic villainy and redemption in Spider-Man 3 was so perfect and NWH throws it all away for no reason than he “doesn’t care.” And they made him weird CG for some reason, too.

I just read Cold Snap (or Freeze’s Final Rest if you believe the front cover) by J Torres and holy cow it might be the best Mr. Freeze story ever. Why does nobody talk about this?

I have two.
Batman: Arkham City and Mega Man 2.
Batman: Arkham City is one of my favorite games and I’ve played through it too many times to count. I love it so much.
Mega Man 2 is short and also a masterpiece, so I’ll often play through it when I don’t know what to play.

I got into real gaming kind of late in my childhood. That said, my family had a Mac computer and I LOVED the Pangea Software games. My first game was Nanosaur.
That said, my first console game years later was Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu.
The Pangea games are way better looking back.

This book really has some heavy-hitting emotional moments. I really like the relationship Nadia and Scott have in later books, but I kind of wish we got to see more of Scott as kind of a father figure.

I miss the Batman monster truck. I was obsessed with it as a kid and it honestly makes me sad it’s gone.

The only dedicated Ant-Man comic I’ve never read is Mark Waid’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. I’ve been saving it because once I read it, I won’t have any other Ant-Man comics likely for a long time.
