@flibl on Twitter. Covid is still here, bird flu between humans is perilously close. Crazy Brexit, awful Trump, Labour let-down, a sizzling planet and the world bristling with wars. So much to fix!
Possibly naive question: are not Canada, Australia and friendly Asian nations enough to uphold democracy with Europe, without reliance on China?

My final comment as we each have our views but Reform seem the party getting most airtime and I won't even start on the infuriatingly partisan and disgrace to the concept of fair journalism and honest news from Laura Kuenssberg and Fiona Bruce - pah !

I totally agree that the BBC edit largely portrayed what happened, but the BBC management were crassly incompetent or complicit. Their atrocious tendencies over the last 5 years or more make it entirely feasible to suspect the latter.

One of our most precious institutions that has become increasingly partisan, has lost all objectivity and now blatantly distorts reality by editing Trump's speech to tell a despicable lie. I cannot stand Trump but he has the BBC over a barrel!

And you don't appear able to see, either

Not blinded but certainly dismayed. However, each of us is allowed our view and we seem to be at polar opposites. Let's both read a little more and check back a year from now.

Oh, my first trolling - how exciting!

No, I read, I consider, I observe, I filter, I experience, I try not have my rose-tinted spectacles on too long ...you know, run of the mill, sentient being stuff!

I couldn't bring myself to hit like. However worthy this is, it is but a tiny spark of light in otherwise pitch black from labour, the betrayers.

For goodness' sake be careful ! Trump might see this and copy it for the White House !

Mine was a flippant suggestion but it's interesting and etymologocially satisfying to see the opposite of perihelion.
November 6, 2025 at 7:06 PM
I might be confusing the term but is the perihelion the distance between Uranus and the sun? 🤣

I wonder what the cost of adequate ventilation and air purification would be on even 50% of office buildings, hospitals and schools. There's a very good chance it would be a fraction of £85 billion! That's an easy win, to start with !

For far too long, it has been economic growth at all costs! How about economic neutrality and paying more attention to environment and welfare !

I am still dismayed that you and Zara had to have such a public spat and rupture my faith that "your party" was going to be the long yearned-for answer. You both did yourselves huge damage !

Great comparison !

Disappointing that you feel the need for expletives to deliver your message!
