David was born Sept 1959 so is possibly too old? Probably(?) left school in 1975 at 16? Jakob is a good call. Lee was probably a warhammer player for the miniatures. Brad should be if he had time to mix with people at university.

Has anyone done "Twilight's Peak" (I guess appropriately condensed) for a con game? I think it's a classic.

(And in practice the players in their "Free Trader" are effectively white van men working as delivery drivers) and - finally - I ran the first Mongoose version of Secrets of the Ancients. I was excellent. Hats off to @mytholder.bsky.social

My version tends towards 18th Century/Georgian empire with a clear ruling class but with room for promotion by merit: Hornblower and Richard Sharp style.

Thus, depending on the interpretation of the GM, a nobilty running an empire with communication at the speed of travel and local autonomy can be: the third empire, Tudor style autocrats, evil colonialists, noblesse oblige trained servants of the state or a mix of all this.

Haven't caught up on the Third Imperium book but I think the good thing about previous iterations of work on the Official Traveller Universe (OTU) was that it gave the facts but not details of the feel of implementation.

I didn't not look here! When is close of play?

I saw the score this morning, started listening and Root got out. England, I apologise. Pakistan currently 49-4. I will shut the window and ignore for the sake of the team - and us all.
