He ended up dropping out shortly after and then proceeded to teach himself the language, bc (paraphrased) it was awful and a waste of time 😅🙈 He ended up learning the language much better by self-teaching and just by the fact that he had to use it in everyday life. (2/2)

I know two people who did this... one I met at the Shimanami Kaido, she said the language classes were okay-ish but not as good as she had hoped. The other guy is a school friend who moved to Japan for a year as part of a university program and wanted to learn the language on the side. (1/2)

Shipping it via Post is always an option if all else fails. I don't know how it compares price-wise, may even be cheaper if done via surface mail? But if you plan in a little bit extra time as buffer at the airport, you'll get your stuff back to Germany one way or another 😄

after I finish reading them, other than "yeah that was an amazing read". No interest in fanfics and no blorbo to rotate in my mind and no deeper themes that have any fresh take. To me it somehow manages to fall into category that I can only describe as high fantasy entertainment slop [2/?]
