Sometimes when I'm in Lucknow (erstwhile capital of Awadh), a friend or an acquaintance will drop a Hindvi word that will even bamboozle me.

What you'll find interesting is that words like 'qatil' are not part of Hindi - they are from the Hindvi language. Hindi & Urdu have always been the key languages in north India, and primarily in the state of Awadh, the two blended together to form Hindvi. Qatil in this case comes from Urdu.

Would you mind offering a more detailed review for Disclosure? I have read almost all of his books but not disclosure; because I was wary about how a book about reversing gender roles in sexual assault - written in the 90s - would have aged in today's context. I've been looking to check it out.
