I really appreciate this reporting. I made the switch from whey to plant-based protein powders over ten years ago. I’ve been trying to use simple powders that don’t have too much sugar or other added ingredients. Studies like this make me wonder if I should simply walk away from them.

Assuming there’s a special session to cut funding from the recently passed budget, what can we do? Is there anything that can be done to spare AHCCCS or other programs?

This isn’t quite healthcare, but a greater amount of paid parental leave would be great. My first job only offered two weeks and my current job offers one month—both of which are well short of the responsibilities that parenting a new child entails. I’ve had to burn vacation time more than I’d like.
