Like posting about new albums. Musician and Seafarer.
Fun playing with generators. Big enough to be interesting, small enough to do jobs by hand.

Sailed past this bouy today. Despite appearances, it’s stationary against a fast tide!

Album of the month.
Loyle Carner- Hopefully!
It’s beautiful. About fatherhood. How does he makes an album like this so accessible. He started singing in this album too as well as rap, but it’s more like poetry and music.
If it catches you in the right mood it’ll make you cry

The clothes you’re wearing, much of the food you eat, even the device you’re reading this on was brought to you by ship. Spare a thought for all of us at sea today. #merchantnavyday

Brilliant. I work at sea and saw this sunset from the ships bow just this evening. “The sun’s final bow…”

Day 13. Thief

‘“There must be some kinda way outta here” said the joker to the thief. “There’s too much confusion, I can’t get no relief “‘

#albumiftheweek Tell Dem It’s Sunny:
Greentea Peng fuses a mix of black styles, both old and new to make a sound which is unmistakably her own but also widely accessible. So otherworldly and yet recognisably British gives a sound which would make GTP a refreshing choice to write the next bond theme!

#albumoftheweek Hop Up by Orlando Weeks. What a lovely album, the second album from Maccabees lead singer about the joys of parenthood. There’s been a few great albums in the last couple years about motherhood (Laura Marling, Big Moon) but it’s nice to see a dad give the topic a go. Really enjoyable

Drive to Goldenhammer by Divorce. Great debut album from the Nottingham band. Oddly rare to hear an album where male/female duet is the main format but it’s played to excellent effect. Like a more radio friendly Big Thief, expect guitars with fx pedals, juxtaposed with gentle vocals

Service Station At The End Of The Universe - Anthony Szmierek
An album that refuses to be defined, but let me try. A poet from Stockport sets his shrewd lyrics to music,a tried and tested style especially since Sleaford Mods but this album is set apart by its relentless hopefulness
